Meatbombs in BBQ marinade

Meatballs are well known and loved especially because they are so easy to make;) I want to share my recipe for them in a bit different version - covered in onion skins and streaky bacon - a meat lover heaven:) - and then baked in a BBQ marinade.

These are perfect as a dinner with some side dishes or as a snack. Easy to make and so yummy !!!

Ingredients

600g of minced meat

30g of bread crumbs

salt

pepper

2 tsp of spicy mustard

150ml of milk

1 egg

6 onions

24 bacon rashers

For marinade

50ml olive oil

2tbsp of Worcestershire Sauce

1tbsp of ketchup

salt

Methode

  1. To breadcrumbs add salt and pepper. Mix.

  2. Add egg to the milk and mix to combine.

  3. Add milk and breadcrumbs to the minced meat. Add mustard. Mix well to combine all ingredients and to get a smooth paste.

  4. Peal the onions and cut in halves. Remove both ends. Separate each skin.

  5. Take around 1 tablespoon of meat and roll it into a ball. Cover it with two onion skins. use two rashers of bacon to cover it all around. Place in a baking tray. Continue with all remaining meat.

  6. Preheat the oven to 220oC. Bake meatball for 40 minutes.

  7. When baking prepare the marinade. Combine all ingredients and mix well.

  8. When you take the meatballs out of the oven brush the marinade all over them and bake again for another 5 minutes.

  9. Remove from oven and serve.

Enjoy!!
